In 2021, through some networking and client referrals, I was lucky enough to start shooting for Pandora. Pandora is one of the largest global jewelry chains. I started shooting for them last summer and have photographed a few of their locations throughout New York City.

In early March, 2021, I was commissioned for a shoot at the Accuweather facility at 7 World Trade Center. They were on the 35th floor overlooking the WTC Memorial and The Oculus, designed by Santiago Calatrava.

In the first episode of Architecture & Design :: New York, I sit down with Beth from Beth Donner Design. Beth spealizes in hospitality design and her resume include restaurants, hotels, catering halls and fire stations.

I often get asked about my shooting process, on-site and explain that I shoot tethered. For new clients, the initial question is usually: “What does that mean”? I am writing this article in the hopes of explaining what it means to shoot tethered, and why I adapted it into my shooting practice.

A few months ago, I got asked to photograph a new house that was about to hit the sales market. I didn’t know much about this house beforehand, but upon arrival, I realized this was something special.

A few months ago, a colleague of mine out of MN, Jordan Powers, was coming to visit NY for work for a few days. Through connections, we was able to get access to a beautiful new penthouse that was on the market in Hudson Yards, overlooking the Hudson River. He invited me to come along for the shoot.

Last year, I got to spend 6 months capturing the build of the new Hutong Restaurant in NYC. This was a project taken on by Wesbuilt, a construction company, based in NYC which specializes in commercial construction. They were in the midst of a huge project, and they brought me on to help capture it.

A few weeks ago, I was able to complete a commercial architecture shoot that I am extremely proud oof, so I found it necessary to share! I was originally contact by e4h Architecture. They are an architectural, engineering and design studio who is based out of Vermont although they have offices throughout the country. e4h specializes in designing spaces for the health and medial fields.

This past fall, I was asked by a childhood friend of mine to come out and shoot a new space he was opening. This space, called Apron Masters, is a fully kosher cooking school and event space.

When I first started out shooting interiors, I was mostly a real estate photographer. I was fairly set in my ways and a few years in, I was lucky enough to specializing in luxury listings. Then I received a call from an interior designer who wanted some photos of a recent project she just completed. I said to her: “great, that’s what I do”

You can say it was in the cards for me to become a photographer. After all, my father was a professional photographer and I have been around it since I was born.
